I have now lived in Tooele County for more than 18 years, and my kids range in age from 9-19. I have been serving on the Tooele County School District board of education for almost 3 years, and would love to use my hard-won knowledge and experience to continue to serve our community. I still sub in the schools and interact with the community in a variety of ways, but now I add to that school observations, community council meetings, board meetings, committee meetings, statewide innovation and problem solving groups, and many other things related to serving in the community. Hi! I'm Emily Syphus.
I'm a teacher, a parent of 6 children ranging from 1st to 11th grade, and a resident of Tooele County for the past 15 years. I am excited to use my unique experiences to serve the students and all citizens of Tooele County as a member of the Tooele County School District Board of Education, representing District 5.
